Does your office decor help you work better?

I think I need to move. I keep seeing people with beach front houses and think FUCK... If I had one I could feel great while I work.

I live in suburbia... My view is my nextdoor neighbors house. It gets old and boring and makes me want to puke sometimes. I think I should probably dress up the walls with some inspiring art or something...

My desk is bland... It is a wooden 80's typical desk... Nothing more fancy than you see a teacher using... I have been in a rutt when it comes to making shit lately and I think it has a lot to do with my office decor...

Anyone have some pics of a kickass office I can grab ideas from?

It depends on the type of person. My office needs to be pretty clean in order for me to be productive. I was much more productive after I purchased a new desk and a large LCD monitor.

paint the wall in front of your desk like a big exotic beach and every time you're sitting at your desk working you will feel as if you are sitting on an exotic beach while working haha..

MY work space consists of half built walls, some with drywall and putties, no ceilling yet so I see all the duct work and electric cables, water pipes and drain pipes. so my work enviroment is not very relaxing. haha

I think a clean well organized office does a lot more good than an office with a view. You can have a great view and still be unmotivated. If you are feeling unmotivated or inefficient a change of scenery wont have a lasting effect. It may help in the short-run, but in the long-term it's probably aspects of your job, your office setup, or how you work that are really bogging you down.

                        Take Luck!

I don't have a great view from my office but, then again I usually have the blinds closed anyway to keep the sun and heat out. I try to keep my office neat and clean and I have it decorated with lots of fake plants, a water fountain (it is soothing) plus lots of poster sized nature pictures that I took on the walls.

My days can get pretty stressful so having such a peaceful place to work really helps me.

And yeah, it does make difference where you work. A good location gives more intention to go outside, enjoy the great weather, go the beach or play some sports and of course nightlife. My current office allows me to work a lot more, other then a few hours of excersize daily I'm pretty much in all day long.
