The bad thing about exgirlfriend sites (I use to own one that was front page of google for ex girlfriends and ended up selling it here on gfy) is that you have to promote shitty programs to make any decent money. The REALLY bad part is that it's usually programs overseas that take web-based content and claim it as their own. I hate the practice and hate the fact that I was even promoting them to begin with but it was one of the only ways I could find to utilize the traffic for the time being. For instance, look at Kickass Ratios to see an example of what I mean

There are a few bigger sponsors that you might want to check out such as Fuckyoucash and CreativeCoin.

Other than that, a hand-written, daily updated blog for this type of site is certainly the way to go if you ask me. Best of luck!!
