Thats not the case at all
I have done this with several other servers
The way they had the DNS set up on theirs in order to switch ips you had to RDP to the next one.
On other servers I could simply bind the software to whatever IP I want.
I asked repeteadly to change the DNS setup. I have logs proving that.
My requests were always met with "My windows guy is out of town".
If you pay $250 a month for a server you're gonna want it to work the way you asked. They knew what I wanted before I sent the $. As soon as the $ was there the support level dropped.
You guys are entitled to your opinions. Bottom line what they did was shady.
