and the funny irony of this thread is that no one can argue that Homosexuality is not a medical disorder. either its a genetic defect, the result of emotional trauma... or both. what are the other causes? this leaves one with the simple argument that it must be totally "normal" which again, as any 3rd grade biology student can tell you is not. all living creatures exist to reproduce.

just because something is called a disorder, does not mean people are "bashing" you. stop being so fucking defensive about it. do people consider it bashing when they find out they have down syndrome, or some other genetic disease? i'm not saying homosexuality is definetly a genetic disease... but i think it is genetic, and it is not normal .. so it must be some kind of disorder.

I have done a lot of research into the sexual disorder classifications because of a book I am trying to find the time to write about the development of fetishes. The sexual disorder grouping homosexuality was under is a group called paraphillias that includes pedophiles. Now, it also includes BDSM but at the point at which homosexuality was on that list it was ranked more closely with pedophelia than say flashing. I think if you are ranked with pedophelia you have a right to assume they people putting you on that list are thinking it is a bad thing.
