Yeah, I've always done that with my videos too.... I guess I'm going to have to switch out my animated gif clip images to the ones with the watermarks on them too.... I'm glad I thought ahead and made them all with and without the URLs on them.

Not that you want to hear this, but my Hotmovies/Clips.com sales are up the last two days.
I have, and will continue to enjoy, a great deal of success with clips4sale, but I'm also smart enough to know that things change, and at some point, you are leaving money on the table. I've added other options for selling my content, and all it's done is earn me more money, and more continued success.Comment

I think I am just going to have to build in clip platform when I get my pay sites redesigned to add in the cams and other shit. Or make a spin off.
I am glad that you are still doing well with your other avenues however. If the producers continue to get pissed off, you are going to see a mass exodus to other places like fetishvideos.com or some of these copy cats.
Assuming they have a fair split, and do not piss off producers.Comment

Commission Structure
We pay a base of 60% to you on all your sales. Yes, you heard correctly! Even though we pay for ALL the hosting and bandwidth, even though we pay for one of the largest adult server networks on the planet, even though we pay for all the credit card fees and maintenance, even though we pay for top-of-the-line programming staff and customer service people, AND we pay for a staggering amount of advertising per month, we STILL give you a base payout of 60% on all sales. We don't even take half (feel free to send holiday presents to us) and better yet, we are happy to work with high volume producers to INCREASE their payouts! Please don't ask for this until you have shown you have great content that sells incredibly well as we need to eat, too!

Also you may consider yoogirls.com (yes, self advertisement ) - i'll give you a 70/30 split instead of the 60/40 - if you're interested hit me up on ICQ

I just read through our license agreement and there is no mention of giving license to use your clips content on hotmovies.com or any of our vod sites. If anyone would like to take a look at our agreement, please email me. Or just write in if you have any questions.
We encourage our clips.com providers to add their legally owned and varifiable content to our hotmovies.com for an increase in exposure as well as profits, but it is hardly mandetory.

Keep in mind, I have not looked at clips.com, or considered them, for some time. So I will have to look (if so inclined) next time I preview their clip store option.
I DO remember it being in there however, and laughed at it both times. I did not look at their VOD option to be fair on DC's end.Comment

We haven't changed our terms of service since day one. I have a feeling that you may be confusing us with another clips site. We just want providers that have have legit content to have an avenue to make as much money as they can. I think that the clips model has unlimited potential and that's why I keep pushing ahead with it.
New providers are joining the site and adding new content every day. I'm always available to answer any concerns, so if something in our contract confuses you, please feel free to contact me directly.Comment

I am not going to argue with you toots.
Obviously if everything was 'peachy' at the time I had read your contract, and the percentages were mutually beneficial. Then I would have signed up. I am not going to leave money on the table for a fair offer any more than the next guy. It's common fucking sense.
When time allows, I will look at your site, percentages for payout, and traffic again compared to other clip stores, and networks. If I have confusion, then I will discuss it at that time.

They probably wouldn't wanna start a panic.
Years ago, I think it was 2005, they had their processing knocked out over PETA and bug crushing sites. PETA was on a rampage, and was knocking out the processors of any company that had crushing of bugs, animals, and so forth. (C4S was not only company effected. At that time I had B-H-E for some sites, and they had gotten notice as well)
But I agree, more information, especially after the 48 hours, would have been appropriate.Comment

Yes, it's a smaller split on the content side, but if you are sending the kind of converting traffic you talk about, you'll make the 25% webmaster commission in addition to the commission for being a content producer.Comment

I think Clips is 40% as a studio when someone purchases your video and 25% as an affiliate, making 65% if you send the customer to your own store. Why don't you check the agreement, Barefootsies, especially since your other concern about the VOD is not valid anymore supposedly anyway.Comment

They do not mention the split anywhere. I clicked on the "learn more". Again, no mention of the split for studio owner that I could see. If you find it, point it out to me.
I see it mentioned everywhere else for affiliates, webmasters, and VOD.

They ADDED yet another processor. Banners down during the approval process. Still using multiples.
