Have been ALL over CA. Panama is indeed a hoot. Looking farther south for this trip.

I have been to Rio De Janeiro Brazil, Peru, Chili, Easter Island and Argentina and I loved them all. If you go to Chili, try to get a flight to Easter Island because it is a once and a lifetime experience. Also if you go to Buenos Aires, try to get a flight to Iguazu. This is the rain forest and has the most beautiful waterfalls in the world. If you go to Machu Pichu, take a horseback ride in Cuzco and you will be able to see all of the country side.

BTW, that girl is the one that showed me around Lima. Peruvians are very hospitable in terms of the tourism industry.

For them, speaking english and being in the tourism industry is equivalent to a doctor in the states.
