It's the shittiest script, if you actually listen to the context of the jokes/what you're actually laughing at.
But Jack Black + Mexican accent + waredrobe that can barely fit, suddenly turns otherwise ordinary "my life sucks" comments, into hysterical one liners.
In the end, yes movie sucked, but somehow someway Jack Black made me not want a refund nor punch myself in the balls. The one saving grace, worth it if you love a little Jack Black every so often.Comment

It got a 37% at rotten tomatoes... not that bad as far as shitty movies go. Compare it with something god awful like Aeon Flux (10%!) and you have a work of art! Seriously though, from the looks of it it looks like about an average Jack Black movie - not great, not terrible, will occasionally make you laugh. Like an amputee.

I saw it on Friday. It was good. Not great. Directed by the same guy that did Napoleon Dynamite so it was the same type of humor. I think it will be better after you've seen it a few times. Most people thought Napoleon Dynamite sucked at first and then enjoyed it the more they saw it. It's not a must see. Wait for DVD.

I saw it on fathers day, thought it was hella funny... The depravity of the life of the main characters and the longing for acceptance was what made it funny...
Jack black did a killer job on the physical comedy of this movie....
What the can you expect from a movie that is made by Nickolodeon?
There is 0 cursing, 0 sexual nudity, and 0 extreme violence. The movie was made by the people who did Napoleon Dynamite... so that should give you an idea of a little of what to expect...
