It looks like there will be a combo of traditional online websites and the magazine style.
There will be a 60+ page magazine like this and support site that use the more traditional websites: blogs, galleries and such so the users can pic their delivery format.
I started asking end users to review it and so far the split is almost 50/50 flip mag vs websites. People seem to like the fact that you can flip the pages ( I am sure this will wear off as mentioned above) and they like the fact that its downloadable in PDF for offline viewing. I also heard lots of comments saying they felt like they were reading a real magazine which they seemed to like since they didn't read much offline.
