i live in norther michigan, i was outside last night from 10pm est till midnight sipping peach schnapps and watching the northern lights with my family.
they were awesome! red, blue and green, all over the whole entire sky like a huge spider web. i have never seen anything like it before in my life. we get northern lights here quite a bit but never such brilliant color.
it's one of those thing i will always remember. it was so peaceful to watch. really made me happy to be alive at that moment and to see such beauty.

Yeah its one of those thing i have always wanted to see. It filled a goal in life for me, but now im hooked! i didnt get any photos because they just werent that clear for us here. about 85% of the sky was filled with the lights so their ws no real contrast. it was like being in a plantearium.
here are some awsome photos i came across last night. http://www.spaceweather.com/aurora/gallery_06nov01.html
