How many xsells is too many?

    How many xsells is too many?

    I don't see why people stop usually at 2 cross sells. The customer who forgot to uncheck those boxes will for sure never buy porn again, and maybe will or won't charge back.

    So why not put like 10-20 prechecked cross sales, hit the guy for $500+ per sale. Either way he's not going to be back if he didn't uncheck those boxes.

    What's wrong with having 20 prechecked cross sales? If the guy can read then he can uncheck them! At least having more of them we can get like $300-400 PPS and then we can all retire at once instead of the big guys leaving when there's no more surfers and smallers guys left behind.

                  I've always been ok with 1 prechecked xsell, but two just seems excessive... Most people I know would flip out if they had a surprise $120 transaction on their statement.

                          ultimately the FTC will decide how many is too many. and it won't be long before they make that decision judging from the looks of things.

                              Technically, if you hit the surfer for more than 3 charges, you're gonna fry their card.

                              Non-Technically? Probably 'because we care.' Same bullshit the cable, phone, and every other company hurting due to the internet does. Cheap trial, expensive subscription.

                                              Why even have them pre-checked? Give them the xsell option, but have them choose which ones they want to add.
