Thanks for pointing out the flaw in the Nielsen rating system.
Like all the polls, etc...Nielsen is just a sampling of the population and when numbers are as close as they are, it's hard to say who the clear winner is and WHY people were watching. Palin had truckloads of viewers because nobody knows about her, and I'm sure many men with a MILF fetish watched it to fap.
Do you really believe that the lead in from the NFL season opener didn't help it at all? Come on... Most people after a game, leave their TV's on while they drink with the boys.
The interesting part would be to see what the difference was between the 2 NBC ratings.
Regardless, who gives a rats ass. In November, we'll all see who the winner is, and we'll proceed to hear half the country bitch either way about how bad the president is.
