    Italy-Cheats!!!

    I have seen less dives at the olympics. Touch an italian player and he goes down, then gestures to the ref that he should give a card to the opposing player.

    I have no respect for this nation any more. They might be able to cook pasta, but they are a bunch of gutless cheating wankers.

    Let's hope they get fucked senesless by the czechs and go home to their mothers.

                                                                          I'm sorry, but that is how it is in the US. A lot of kids play soccer up until they are 9 or 10 and then move on to football. The kids that play soccer usually end up being the kids who aren't big enough or strong enough to play football, or aren't allowed to because of their parents. There are exceptions, but this is the case a majority of the time.

                                                                          Soccer is simply not that appealing to the US when you compare it to our other sports.

                                                                                                  all i saw was some of the worst all-time officiating ever. the red card the ref gave the 1st time on that tackle was complete bullshit. towards the end of the games he didn't even call a foul on similar plays.

                                                                                                  the US really dominated the game and for 35 minutes of the 2nd have took it to Italy, even playing 1 down.

You should try to learn something from others, narrowing your horizons is what can make you a redneck, no matter where you live. I don't say that it should be appealing to you, but you care about bashing football you should try at least to understand it, like others do with the american sports.                                                                                                               I do watch soccer and give it a chance. I enjoy it sometimes. For the most part, it isn't that appealing to me though. I understand diving, rolling around like you are hurt, and crying are part of the game. However, it's hard to take that serious when you watch a running back get crushed by two 300 pound football players and get up like nothing.

                                                                                                              As for narrowing your horizons, I can say the same about you. I'm guessing Europe/South America plays less baseball and American football than we do Soccer. Almost every high school and college has a soccer team. We have national teams and a league. You can't say the same about other sports. I guess you'd be the redneck?

I'm glad to hear that every school has football team, and I know that US female team is the best in the world. I don't even have a problem that you don't like football.
