Theory 1: For the same reason why they choose to be with ugly men. Most girls prefer a not so beautiful man over a top model because a model-like man could and probably would cheat on them while the ugly man is happy to be with such a hot girl and will never risk that.
Theory 2: Most lesbians are not that hot themselves and will not find any better.
