Google said Wednesday it would dump one section of the end-user licensing agreement that gave the company “a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through” the new browser.
Google Chrome is da shit!

How much more are you gonna love it when you realize that executables can be downloaded to your harddrive and executed without your permission, with zero notice whatsoever? i'm sure it will be fixed by the official release date, but for now, chrome is pretty fucking dangerous to be operating...Comment

google chrome sucks so far for me..
I cannot use my scroll up and down with my touchpad within it, and also it does not appear to have a multi proxy switch extension available which I need for surfing some of our secured areas.. other than that it looks nice.. one thumb up, one thumb down..I'm here for the violence!Comment

It's a beta. You know, short for "beta testing". You run the risk by downloading a beta no matter what OS you prefer.you do know this thing is full of security holes don't you?

I run Linux, but I still threw it onto my VM copy of Windows to give it a test spin.Comment

Ok it's looking good.
But where do you enable plugins? It says to go to to the Under The Hood tab in the Tools/Options menu, and enable plug ins under web content.
There's nothing there. Well, except a "change google gears" button that has nothing to do with plug ins.
Also, so far, Chrome only works with an advanced Beta version of Java (which you can't install anyway since you can't enable plugins ... )
I'm probably missing something... anybody know?
:D
