if an affiliate sent the visitor do they earn commissions on those sales?

Our clients can set it up anyway they like, that is not up to us but at the same time, we would not rip off webmasters that are supposed to be getting paid. In most cases, we are set up as a referring webmaster so the affiliate's ref id stays in tact and we get a one time spiff for the sale. In some cases, the company does not pay on exits whatsoever and consider us an exit console. We want this to be win/win for everyone or it's not worth it.

whats your approx recovery % for people that close out the sign-up page?

4-15% depends on the site and incentive the company gives us. average falls between 8-10% GGW was pulling 20% for a long time. Our clients report 30% or higher rebills on the chat sold members.

We just talked about this in our group actually. Affiliates can set up just as easily as the direct company, process is the same and very simple

I would recommend checking the policies of the company to make sure it doesn't violate any agreement on exits that may exist.
