if you go to prague you might have luck with english. in some parts, especially close to german and austrian border german might work as well. in general czech people seem to dislike other languages. if you try to survive outside Prague with english or german... good luck

german is better, almost no english there, even in Prague, but i can do Russian, it worls for them

Hey I have been living here for 15 years and I can honestly say English is the second language and then German then Russian. MaDalton is close to the fact...the closer you go to the border to Germany or Austria the more German you will hear But in Prague and Plzen and other towns around Bohemia English is the second language.

pretty same situation is in Budapest/Hungary
nobody speaks English there...
