Serious Question: What are experienced affiliate managers earning these days?

Base + Commission? or just Base?

    Benefits?

What are companies offering experienced affiliate managers these days?

    Pay range?

Trolls and mommy's basement (command center) dorks need not respond.

    Thanks!

I bet it varies drastically depending on which program, country

and I doubt anyone is going to tell you what they make or pay their people.

Bout 8-10 an hour, depending where the office is based. Some benefits depending on how the management votes, but don't expect dental. A cut in very rare cases of outstanding aff managers - basically this means they do other things, and well.

        How'd I do ?

You described the basement warrior affiliate.

Not someone who works for Platinum, Twistys, Silvercash, etc.

I dunno that the basement warrior actually makes anything other than drinks, the occasional hotel stay and other fringe.

I would guess not much at all, most probably do less than 50k/year... but someone who is really good, has great connections, can bring in whales, etc, could easily do 100k+....

A good quality affiliate manager, one who manages the entire program, manages designers, understands the industry, coordinates all affiliate tools, handles affiliate needs well, attracts solid producing affiliates, responds to their needs in a timely manner and keeps them happy, one who is able to implement ideas....a true affiliate manager who dedicates themselves to the entire program and not just one piece of the program, will make well over 100k/year.

But, as beemk said, there aren't many of them. You find one like I described above and you find a way to make him happy cuz a good affiliate manager more than pays for himself.

Standard affiliate rep makes 10%. A "star" will make more.

So if you're paying $35 per signup to webmasters, then you're going to pay your affiliate rep $3.5 or so per join that their accounts bring in.

So, if you're asking because you want to be an affiliate rep, then ask yourself how many daily joins will you bring to the table with your contact list?
If you want to hire an affiliate rep, then the 10% is a good number to use for budgeting purposes.

Of course not all reps make straight commission, some of their pay plans are very complex, with a base salary, bonuses, benefits, etc etc....BUT, at the end of the day, the total cost to their employer is not going to stray too far away from that 10% that they bring in, or else the relationship is going to end (either because the rep is being underpaid and leaves, or because they're being overpaid and get fired)

If you asked this question to get an answer like "3K per month" then you asked the wrong question...it's like asking "how much does a car salesman make" or something like that. Some are making a friggin killing, others are starving.
                                            sig too big

Which explains why I have a tail of followers five miles long. All sorts of people, russians, americans, professional trolls, allienquesque hyperactive idiots, happily married burgeois, you name it. And more add themselves every day, such as for instance, you.

Which I suppose does prove I'm not all that smart, the really smart people manage to pass completely unnoticed here.
Everyone that responds to you is a follower?

That's pretty god damned stupid since many offer a 10% webmaster referral anyhow. By your logic I could set up as an independent rep and make more than most that are hired. If companies are running like this then lol but I don't believe it.

You get 10 % of the affiliates you manage, not just the ones you bring...
