This is fucked up... A new survey of some 1,200 undergraduate college students in the United States has shown that beer has been replaced on the top of students' favourite things lists by the Apple iPod. Some 73% said their iPod was the most "in" thing.
In the same survey last year, just 59% said iPod was the "in" thing, whch was far below drinking alcohol. This year, drinking beer was tied for second place with Facebook.com. Beer has been on top for 18 years, except in 1997 when it was displaced.
Back then, the Internet was judged the most "in" thing. The survey was conducted by Student Monitor and involved 100 colleges across the United States.
