Subjective, but of course.

I always find it funny how people expect to be posted immediatly if they have good galleries on Big TGPs. Trust is something that is earned over time. Many big TGPs pay in excess of $10,000/month for bandwidth alone, that's a lot of money to risk on someone demanding that their gallery be placed without knowing who that person is. If a person ads consoles, thumbs that lead to paysites and other crap like that it hurts the TGPs business. There is no way of knowing if a person will do that except for building a trusting relationship over time. Big TGPs also work 7 days a week, 365 days a year and why would they give special treatment to someone who only casually submits a gallery or two to them?

The real exception to this is thehun - who is in my opinion the defination of a 'nice guy' He really makes an extrodorany effort to post new people's galleries. But the time this costs him is ENORMOUS.

Personally I find most BIG TGPs are INCREDIBLY tolerent and extremely helpful to new submitters. Two examples you people have quoted are worldsex and Book-mark. Both of these guys risk many many thousands of dollars every month on bandwidth to ensure clean sites that their regular surfers will enjoy and COME BACK TO. They both also work huge hours, 7 days a week reviewing galleries to ensure quality controll. And they respect submitters who respect them. You have to understand that these guys are now getting in excess of 1500 submissions a day and most only post about 100. And they both give new submitters a chance on a regular basis when they can see that that submitter looks like someone who is serious about this business. Maybe not instantly but they do.

A word about free hosts. The term 'free' is a bit deceptive. The ads they have on them pay for the bandwidth and make a profit for the 'free' host owner. When you use a 'free' host ask yourself this question - Why am I letting this guy make money from me? If I did the hosting myself I'd make the money the free host does + my regular profit. And more TGPs will respect me casue I'm now more professional paying my own way. ALso if you host your galleries yourself there is very little chance of consoles, pop-ups, misloads, and other crap that can get you banned on TGPs. You build yourself a solid reputation and you take more care in what you are doing since you have a much greater stake in it.

Ummm... I agree with pretty much everyone here, there's nothing that beats The Hun. But there's a site that brings me a LOT of nice traffic - ElephantList.

You need an account to be able to submit to it, but it's definitely worth trying.

Dude worldsex takes HARDCORE galleries where as the hun lists all.. it is very very easy to get listed on worldsex if you make a hardcore gallery period.

It's bullshit that big tgp's are risking lots of money, of course they need to buy high hosting bills. But they making definatly much more money then they spend even if they don't add one single new gallery for a whole month

Big TGPs do risk a lot of money. A sponser can cancel or go under bouncing a check leaving a TGP with the bandwidth bill. Yes they make money, but not without risk. The only risk free aspect of the business is people who make galleries and put them on free hosts.

How'd you like to get stuck with a $15,000 bandwidth bill that you are legally liable for and find out that the check your sponser sent you bounced?

If you want to make real money there are always elements of risk involved or you play safe and stick with the bun fight. Now do you really think a top TGP would have all its aggs in one basket and not hold a substantial buffer.

You need an account and a recip like at Marks, but I've done pretty well with their traffic. And they have lots of it
