    Free Hardcore = Lower Profits for all, Solution could be...

    Hello,

    It has become easier than ever before for surfers to get their nut off for free.
    This has had a large negative impact on everyones earnings.
    Why would a surfer pay for porn if they get hardcore free?

    Why do people put hardcore movies and pics including cumshots in their free galleries?

    If it became harder for the average surfer to "easily find" free hardcore porn they would have more incentive to pay for it. Everyone would make more money.

    One possible solution is to create a business alliance or trade association where the members voluntarily agree to restrict their own use of free hardcore porn in marketing. In exchange for doing so the members would receive discounts at participating Hosting company's, Content company's and maybe Credit Card processors. Participating sponsors could offer members a higher payout per join.

    The point is you can't force people not to give away the store for free to surfers but you can make it more profitable for those who do to do so.

    Not using Hardcore Porn in free marketing doesn't have to mean less click throughs on ads or galleries. Look at some of the top programs out there and you'll see many examples of successful campaigns that show the surfer just enough to tease them over to the site.

    Just an idea I wanted to put out there for discussion purposes.

      I totally agree if we started to Censor hardcore, conversions would get way better and so would retention.. Not sure if this will ever happen unless the goverments get involved.. Which might not be a bad idea if it means the longevity of adult entertainment online..
      At this rate we are just killing our industry slowly and new users are not as easy to come by these days. the surfers are savvy and know the system and where to get it free.. Very Sad

      We need regulations on what should be free to keep this industry alive..

      Ask anyone of your friends if they would pay or where they go..I bet they woill all say why pay its free everywhere.. Yea we are smart business men LOL

          hey Joe.. great idea in concept.. but, it seems the "free content" issue has more to do with trying to offer something better than the other guy, in a more competitive fashion, and hence, we continue to see better looking tours, with better looking content, hardcore and otherwise, in turn providing the surfer with so much material that he has already jacked off and doesnt need to join...

          I dont think we will ever see the type of alliance you described, although, I do see us moving towards offerring special discounts to established traffic sources to entice their surfers to join.

          We are in the process of re-doing our tour scenes and having a higher quality sample of content, yet limiting the actual "jackoffable" content to better entice the surfer to join.. regardless, we will always see "the other guy" try to do one better..

          great to see you in San Diego.. I look forward to your vegas party at the xbiz show next month in vegas..

          keep up the great work with your site.. I think you have a real winner there, and its only a matter of time till you break out to huge success.

                  I agree with you on your statements, but the real question is. How to make this happen? It's fairly impossible, unless all of the TGPs changed the rules for gallery submissions, sponsors will change there FHGs, Promotional contents possible Banners ect. and then again not just one but each and everyone. Besides most gallery submitters keep there galleries live for long periods, so if they would start making softcore galleries only from now it would take years before everything is refreshed into softcore only. I doubt this will happen though.

                  Offering bonuses or higher payouts for those who do would only attempt a small amount of webmasters. We have to start somewhere though good points

                      Thanks for your input Roger. While government regulation might be beneficial to some degree I would prefer if we could all get smart about protecting our investment in this business.

                      Hi Blazing! Yes was a lot of fun meeting you and your crew in San Diego.
                      I think you raise some good points. We could still have better quality models and video/photography without having to include more hardcore. And I think you're on the right track doing so! In my opinion it would be more profitable to show everything leading up to the insertion shot and money shot therefore making the surfer curious to click through and see more.

                      Bottom line is I think if we work together we can make more money than if we don't. All the most successful programs do so and have done so for years by trading traffic. If we can agree to help each other based on shared responsible marketing practices then even if the rest of the web doesn't follow suit I believe we will make more money.

                          We just had an discussion here at the ICS offices along these lines, but more about TGPs. A comment was made about how some TGPs are now demanding galleries with both videos and pictures.

                          Is it possible we are giving away too much for free?

                                  If sponsors would contact Tgp owners and tell them "We will not be providing hosted galleries with hardcore samples anylonger and would look favorably on those tgp businesses who change their rules to restrict hardcore in their submissions" . Perhaps pay Tgp owners more per join if they adhere to the no hardcore galleries rule? That would go a long way towards reducing free hardcore.

                                  A friend just got this customer support email from a paysite member today,
                                  "Porno movies are free on the web, why the fuck would I pay $30 to watch them on your site??"

                                  Ok now granted this guys a typical dumbass surfer. He can't get full movies at High Def Free on the web. But he helps make the point.

                                  There is the widespread perception that one can get any porn one wants free on the web.

                                  So who is going to steup and work together on a solution so we can all start making more money like we used to in the good old days?
