                                                        Asia does love the *good life*, but that has nothing to do with her husband's death. She has a very large fan base. She enjoys their attention. They send her gifts all the time. They have been there for her for many years.

                                                        She is strong. She is a hard worker. She is in a state of panic at this time. Give her a break. It looks like she traded in her flashy corvette for babies and a new life.

                                                        Why would she lie about her husband's death? She is upfront about her life.                                                                     Listen: some chick comes out of nowhere begging for money, a chick who supposedly is a 'star' who's surely made a mint during her career. The husband who supposedly died has web sites hawking diet supplements and every other hustler product, he looks like Rico Suave, and there's nothing - NOTHING - in the local paper about his death, or about ANY accident happening ANYWHERE in the area. When there's a fatal accident here, it makes the papers.

                                                                    If you're going to ask for money, you need to be ready to provide some proof that you need it. All I've seen so far is the request, and the circumstances are fishy as hell. I wouldn't send her money based on what I've seen so far, and I don't see why anyone would. The likelihood that you're being taken is just a little too high for comfort.

                                                                    I have no problem helping out someone in distress, but if you want my time and money you have to show me that it's not being wasted, and that most definitely hasn't been done.

I have never known her to be a flake, She lived near you in the valley for a few years. She is very private, and without her makeup, she looks like a little girl. She volunteered her time at a Valley Animal Shelter. She has a big heart. She has worked her ass off and saved her money for years. I was hoping she was a millionaire by now. She starved herself so you and the guys would find her sexy enough to buy her videos.

I would suspect her husband's not in great physical shape and she wants to remember him like he was the last time she saw him. I wouldn't even enter the funeral home and we didn't have the service there.

                                                                                                                                                                            She said her ex-husband and a friend went there - I'm sure they can identify the body if needed. No one in my family had to identify my son's body. He was in his room (Asia's husband was in his car) and had his dog tags on him (Asia's husband had his wallet with ID).

                                                                                                                                                                            They cremated my son here in GA, but there were some hoops we had to jump through to get that to happen. Originally he was going to have to be cremated in Hawaii (long story).

                                                                                                                                                                            There are SO many different scenarios about what's going on that we can all sit around and guess about, but why?

His business is still operating thus generating some revenue. They had nice cars, house, most likely some money invested in stocks. You?ve got to be dumb as a rock if you don?t plan ahead of time.

She needs all the support she can get during such a horrible and surreal time.

                                                                                                                                                                                            While I cannot fault others (and dig especially) for being wary of pleas for money that are potentially scams, that sort of thing is so far outside the realm of anything Asia (or Don) would ever do that it's just fucking painful for me to see anyone even entertain the notion. I would trust her more than some of my own kin in every way that's important.

                                                                                                                                                                                            Those bulletins are coming straight from her broken heart, and I don't see anything unusual about her interacting with the community she's most comfortable in and makes up her extended support system - her fans in cyberspace. Let the woman grieve the way she needs to for fuck's sake and leave her in peace.

                                                                                                                                                                                            I've barely got two nickels to rub together at the moment, but as a friend I'd at least send flowers... I'd rather paypal over the cash, which will be infinitely more useful to her at the moment.

                                                                                                                                                                                            God, I hope she never sees some of the downright awful things that were said here, and that her children never come across these archives one day.

                                                                                                                                                                                                I can understand people being skeptical since scams have been done this way before. I can also people making the choice to not send money.

                                                                                                                                                                                                What I can't understand is the lack of compassion for great woman and her children.

                                                                                                                                                                                                Maybe they invested a bunch of money in a new business that would have paid off in a couple of years but leaves them strapped right now. Maybe they had a big loss in some other areas. Maybe they were trying to provide for their children. Bad shit happens to good people all the time.

                                                                                                                                                                                                At this point I don't know what happened but that's no reason to hate her, hate my own situation or any thing else.

                                                                                                                                                                                                I wish her all the best and I haven't decided to send money or not yet.
