I believe you can do a script that would watermark your images. What I do is use arles image web page creator. the demo is free and it swoops threw images, makes thumbs, resizes and more. :D

You can use the actions in Photoshop, or get a script that does it for ye.

I think I will add some information for linux users...
Autogallery6 is a nice script for GIMP, which now has watermarking capabilities. Theres a gallery generator out there called Kallery, which makes thumbs, optimizes photos, and watermarks. Or, you can get a free phpscript called activeWatermark on the web - activeunit DOT com. I prefer a php script because they are "light" and therefore very fast. I believe the last batch i watermarked, 200 files, took about 5 seconds.
