TGP submissions lately -- "the tale of the tape"

You're close. I was thinking more in the way of all the sitting we do as webmasters.

Soul -- what's this fixation with perfection? Who gives a rats testy whether zeus has perfect teeth or perfect galleries. My galleries, although not perfect, are clean, non-cheating and very functional. Tell me, do the "zeus" galleries get listed at EVERY TGP they are submitted to? I doubt it, because they have some big-ass advertising on them, which some (like the Hun for instance) don't like. NO gallery is perfect, but my POINT in all this shit is that over the course of weeks and months, a guy like me should be able to get at least a FEW listed on some of these TGP's. Adult Buffet for one... I don't remember ever getting listed there. I'm calling these guys to the carpet on this, because I've had it with hearing nothing but tumbleweeds after I submit.

And as for the "easy solution" someone posted, my answer is this: There are only a certain number of TGP's that can send the high traffic volumes. I'd like to be able to submit to most of them and get at least a few galleries listed from time to time. THAT and a jar of mixed nuts would make me very happy.

Well, as gallerys go, they're not bad... but I've seen better. They sure aren't the most pleasing to the eye by a long shot. Make sales? Sure.... I'll run with that... I have nothing to argue against it. But then, when I was talkin' about "perfect", I wasn't talkin' about gallerys. I thought I stated that clearly enough already. Gallerys are not what interest me, because of (many things... but...) the fact that they can never BE perfect. They're gallerys. They're supposed to look like shit. I was doin' graphics like those back in '94 on a shitty old Packard Bell 486 WITH the overdrive (don't forget the almighty OVERDRIVE!) when I was totally clueless and using Microsoft Paint. Perfect? I don't think so.

All those things I mentioned in my first post that will work against you trying to get listed were probably even more obvious a month ago. My point is that if you do have any rep with these guys it's a bad one. Your galleries may not even get looked at anymore.

Remember, the Big guys only deal with big guys so approach them professionally. Write an email and state your case. Give a few example galleries on your paid host. Ask what you could do to improve your chances.... and never come to a board and start bitching about everyone and say things like "Damn it, my galleries are awesome. Why the fuck aren't you listing me? I'm calling you out !!"

I'll tell you what boyo, I can name easily 20 TGP's located on pay hosting that my freehosted TGP sends more hits than. Most of those 20 have been around LONGER than my site. I also have a lot of regular submitters who are veteran webmasters. Why would they continue to submit to me if my traffic was nonexistant and useless?... so your opinion is rendered as stupid, again.

100k per day isn't shit. Most of the tgp guys I know get more than 100k per day and none would cop to having any good traffic at all. That's the nature of gallery traffic.

As for all your complaints, there is little ryhme or reason to why tgp guys list certain galleries. Different guys like different stuff it's that easy.

It's like you've been going to bars for three months and complaining that you didn't bang every girl you chatted up.

When I do galleries I get listed at nearly every tgp in SexTracker's top 20 but I have NEVER ONCE been listed at absolut. Why? Shit, I dunno. I guess he doesn't like my stuff.

I think your galleries looked great. Zeus's galleries also looked good except they were slow loading and looked like FPA's which I was told NO TGP's accept? Is this wrong?

Anyway, CD, one thing I've been noticing lately is that after submitting to the big TGPs is that I'm not even getting an initial reviewers hit in my stats from them. That, to me, means they are not even viewing my gallery before it's rejected. I've recently also changed my submit times because of personal circumstances, and I'm wondering if I'm just not getting to the door in time.

Who knows, sales are down too. I want to cry.

I got one back from worldsex the other day saying I wouldent be posted because not enought nudity.From now on Im submiting in my jockes. This seem strange to me as I got it before the comformation email ? and RR listed it the next day ? Its the only reply Ive had from world sex thought.

Jimmy and others, I'm not trying to bust anyone's chops here. I just trying to get a few points across. One point is that guys like me who submit good non-cheating galleries that are worth for surfers to look at should get listed at least some of the time. I'm not asking for miracles, but 1 submission out of ever 4 or 5 would be a start anyway.

The other point I am trying to bring forth here is that fact that there ARE lots of webmasters just like me that submit good quality galleries and are never getting listed at many of the bigs. I just want some of the big guys to maybe see this and realize that a few of us are worth some small consideration too.

The fact is, I make only a small amount of my money from TGP stuff, I'm not so narrow in my thinking as to shove all of my hopes and income into one website venture or one online skill. To me that's just wrong, and stupid really. However, I would like to see my TGP income rise over time, and to do that I need to be getting listed more, and so do a lot of you guys.

That's it, rant pretty much over, I think I made my point, in spite of a few newbie-knockers taking issue with me (you know who you are).

A person like The Hun can list me and a small fucking no-name tgp cant. Thats bullshit!! I recommend that you submitt and submit again and see who accepts you and only submit to them in the future.

Let me know when Yahoo are accepting adult gallery submissions (and sending 10k/day) and I'll submit there. Meantime, tgp's are it for getting immediate traffic to galleries.

I dont want to argue with you, I am just trying to make a point. On this gallery http://www.sunsetbeachbabes.com/ok/nina_gabby1c.html You clearly have a banner that has pics that look like "thumbs". also you have mouse overs. It is an awesome gallery, but being a long term reviewer, submitter and owner, I know alot of the tgps wont accept it for those two things.
I remember the days when we could submit with pics on html. Man wasnt that great

Its all crazy out here in the world of submit. The past couple of days, I am finding my galleries listed to places I have never submitted! But on the other hand, getting listed on some is tuff as nails.

If you spent more time getting to know the people who you were submitting to instead of bragging on here that you've been around three years and know everything you might just get a gallery or two listed.

One thing for sure, some of you might not like Sleazy for his attitude, but I believe right now he's one of the top submitter out there... when one of us will have our site doing 200-300K a day built up from links on the galleries we make, listing only our stuff on that page like sleazy does, you'll get my respect to

there's a few tgps out there I'd never get listed until I had a chat with them on icq... either me or them contacting me, or word of mouth from people I know...


But ALSO, there's the consistency of your posts, and the server on which you post...

I used to post more frequently... and in february this year, and in march, I'd get listed mostly all the time to AL4a because they got to know my shit was up there, running always fast and all..

but lately, I did not post as much during the summer, and now i'm on a slower machine... I barely get 1-2 listings a month out there...

but, everytime I go post on thumbnailpost, or most of the time, I get top listings... why? because he likes my stuff I guess...

I guess it all comes down to a mix of Geting to be known by the tgp owners, and having a good server and a design that some will love, some won't...
