I have a hunting knife handy, although I never consciously thought about putting it there for defense.

I also keep a Pu-36 explosive space modulator under my pillow but that's mostly for kinky stuff.

I do not own a gun but I do sleep with a screwdriver in hands reach. It will probabally never help me but it's the comfort of knowing it is there

I have a 357 Magnum under the bed. I hope I never need to use it and I really don't want to kill anyone. I lived in "suit case city" near USF while I was going to college in the early 90's and bought the gun for protection and never got rid of it.

Sweet gun. I use to have one. I called it my baby canon. You gotta love revolvers. Now I keep a different gun in my night stand. I use to keep it loaded with one in the chamber but having kids changed that. Now I keep the gun and the clip in seperate places but close enought to where i can reach both at the same time

a knife, a screwdriver, your fists or your cock are no match for a loaded gun.

Why do I carry a gun....simple because carry a cop is too cumbersome and when seconds count the cops are only minutes away....

I have a 38 that a friend of mine rigged up with a holder to my bed. Since my bedroom is a loft and I have a small house, even a really really crappy aim will hit its mark

There's also a 22 rifle in there right now so if the 6 bullets don't stop them, I have back up!

Thankfully I still have 2 pugs who can still hear and will alert me to someone/something coming into the door. Getting into my room any other way would be physically impossible (plus even *I* would hear that since it would involve ladders and rock climbing equipment).
