    Has anyone here shoplifted by accident?

    This weekend I was up at a friends cottage... We went grocery shopping and split up to get all the shit we needed... anyways I'm waiting at the front of the store all bored, so I start looking at the clearance DVD rack at the front of the store... must've read the backs of at least half of them... anyhow, the banking area there caught my eye (I was holding a DVD in my hand at the time and I guess completely forgot I was holding it.) I walk over there and start reading through the brochures.. I leave with a small stack of brochures and a DVD in my hand. Amazingly the alarm didnt even go off and I didnt even notice I had the $8 DVD in my possession until we were about 30 min away from the grocery store as I was going through the brochures again.

    Pretty wierd how stuff like that happens.

    Now should I mail this DVD back to the store or just keep it?

                      Last week I was in Home Depot had to get some stuff for a flooring project and Ellisa wanted me to change the shower head to one that was detachable on a hose.

                      I picked up the plumbers tape as I walked in the door. It was right there conviently waiting for me. I walked around and looked at a few things in the tool section then I went to the flooring department. I had the plumbers tape roll on my thumb and I was holding a drink in that hand also so I didnt even notice when I walked out the door


                      after getting out to the car I still had the plumbers tape on my thumb!

                                  One time a few years back I was at the gap and was holding about 2-3 pairs of jeans and I wanted someones opinion on them and I walked out into the mall with them and about 60 yards from the entrance and then realized what I had done. I walked back in like nothing had happened and no one there even noticed.

                                  A couple times at the grocery store I've put stuff like soda/beer or animal food on the bottom shelf and not realized they didn't charge me for it til later.

                                      yes, a few weeks ago I bought some new kitchen glasses, when i got home they had placed 2 times the glasses that I paid for in the bag....I still did not return them, so i think i am guilty of "shoplifting by accident"

                                                              yeah that reminds me of a time when I was 4 and i drove a small car off the lot. I accidently drove it all the way home and parked it in my driveway. I felt horrible.

                                                                          I know i wasn't serious about mailing it back. I don't think the giant super store is going to hurt too much by losing an $8 DVD.
