Its a nice little place we have here, weather can suck at times and it can be expensive but overall I think most people coming here like it.

i just remeber how i spend 5 days in Italy and had nothing to eat. I couldn't get a tasty pizza, though Italy is famouse for it, no pasta, nothing. Evrything is very undelicoius.

nope. i spent some time in antwerp and brussels. not much though. just enough to look around and see what there was to see. you are a food and wine person so you pay a great deal more attention to this than i do. i kinda envy that in a way. i enjoy great food but i dont really enjoy experimenting that much.

are you going back to bangkok??? i was have been thinking about that as well.

i wanted to go to Angkor Wat when i was living in BKK. i have always regretted that i didn't. i think i was mostly getting tired of shady, corrupt countries... working in them... and then vacationing in them. i did enjoy a lot of good food in bangkok though. that place has tons of phenomenal restuarants and as you know, its not real expensive. for me, that was the best part of being there. (there were also these persistent rumors of many morally loose girls in the area, but i think that was just an urban legend)

98-99, i had an apartment at the emporium http://www.emporiumsuites.com/ on sukhumvit along with a few other guys from the biz. i just used it to thaw from time to time. i got spoiled and every since then i have had a strong thing for serviced apartments.
