Porn losing shock value?

Clearly im new to this, and im a 20 yr old girl, so it still has a severe shock factor to see porn, but for you guys that are websmasters and stare at this stuff all day everyday, has it lost the wow factor, do you still get aroused, interested, do ur minds start stirring, or is it all business now? basically are you becoming desensitized, and does that bother you? Are your realistic standards for women to hook up with way higher, or lower?

Porn... least as we know it.. is losing it's shock value or "mystery" value every day. The more folks are familiar with it - the less impression it makes.

That in turn means some webmasters push the boat out to extremes to maintain their sales appeal.

The flip side is... there is a market for even very "tame" porn - and that never seems to have changed over the last few decades - so who knows?

i think this question comes up in a thread at least once a month. yes, it loses it's shock factor, this is why finding a new niche with "something different" is so potentially valuable - even surfers get bored of the same kind of porn so they start hunting for something different. if you're working in the industry now and seeing porn at work daily, soon it won't seem so odd/shocking to you either - but you can maintain your semi-innocence, don't worry.
