Hit-and-run girl ignored by drivers
An eight-year-old girl was left screaming in the road with a broken leg after six cars drove past her and failed to stop to help.
Cait Atkins was knocked down in a hit-and-run near her home in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
Police said they were horrified and astonished that so many motorists failed to come to her aid.
Cait was hit by a small red Peugeot or VW Golf and suffered a broken leg in two places.
Pc Matthew Waters, the investigating officer, said: "The driver failed to stop at the scene.
"She was left in agony and was amazingly ignored by several passing motorists.
"She had to crawl to the edge of the pavement before being helped by a kind member of the public."

Assuming the driver was aware of the hit, and it's hard not to see how he couldn't be (unless he was high or drunk) - it's called cowardice and trying to save ass from prosecution.
worth - this is an extreme example of shit that is common place and increasing - especially in "civilised societies". It manifests itself in many ways, but boils down to preoccupation with "self" and often associated with greed and hate - basically anything but civilised.
