    Who Are The New Comedians On The Scene?

    Any new stand up comics worth it nowadays?

    Eddie Murphy hasn't put out an album in years has he?

    Sam Kinison is gone.

          I remember Emo Phillips but the other two I don't know. Are they adult humor like Murphy or Pryor?

          I haven't seen Comedy Central or Def Comedy Jam in years.

          After Martin Lawrence left I didn't find it as funny. Is it still on tv?

              You are really dating yourself a bit here.

              So, a quick run-down:
              Dane Cook is pretty much the best comedian out right now. Carlos Mencia is big right now if you like strictly old-school ethnic humour. Stephen Lynch is fucking awesome & plays twisted folk songs about every taboo topic known to man. Jack Black and/or Tenacious D are the shit. Mitch Hedberg is twisted. And everyone knows Dave Chapelle (you do know who Dave Chapelle is, I hope?)

                      Okay, yeah I know who Dave Chappelle is. Yet whomever is out there hasn't reached me yet. Normally, if someone is very funny other people will repeat their jokes. I haven't heard anyone for months on end impersonate a stand up.

                      Don't make me have to go out there on the stage and be funny!

                                                                              Dane Cook has a bunch of MySpace minions that seem to follow him around the country. He is EXTREMELY overrated and 90% of his fans are chics (which isn't too bad I guess) or kids under 18.

                                                                              Dave Chappelle's "Killing Me Softly" and "For Whats It's Worth" is right up there with Eddie Murphy's "Raw" and "Delerious"

                                                                              Conan O'Brien declares Dave "The funniest man on the planet" for a reason.

                                                                              Fuck his show....watch the stand up. They are both out on DVD.
