Stop fucking reading my emails, google!

Okay, i sent a package thru Fedex and informed a receiver thru gmail with tracking number, checking email i noticed google offer to the right of email body, Would you like to track (my package number) with Fedex?

Well, I saw it laoding me ads in regards with my email topics but fucking analazing my email content its like freaking reading it, Im not happy about this shit, what do you think?

I sent an email to relative that was on a world cruise.

Looked at the google ads next to it, and they were all regarding relics from the titanic ! Seriously LOL

There has been great debate about this in the past. Truth is, bots spider your emails for keywords and later display contextual advertising.

To me, it is a small price to pay for a great service.

We run both our mainstream and our adult wings with Google Apps. You can't beat not having to worry about your mailservers, document collaboration, and worldwide accessibility.

Actually there is more possible that your local ISP admin is reading all your POP3 emails just for fun. As about google, so it's just their bot which parses your email content for special keywords. Google is free, so you have to pay for that "freedom"

Unlikely. I use gmail with SSL. Besides, if the local cable company wants to read all my bullshit sponsor promo emails, he's more than welcome.

Google customizes its ads in your Inbox based on the content of your emails.
So yes, Google does "read" your emails. That's why I don't think it's appropriate to send confidential info via any @gmail.com accounts.

Email is inherently insecure (standard SMTP and POP3 use no encryption at all) but I'd still never let Google see my stuff.

Don't forget that if you check your POP3 email at Internext you're broadcasting your username and password to anyone who happens to be capturing packets.

Dude, you are an idiot.

A bot parsing your emails to display certain ads is freaking you out? WTF? .. You think they are spying on you personally, in a clutter of some hundred million users? You pretty much know their business model, why the fuck you don't stop using gmail, anyway?

What if your hosting provider, your web server guy, your ISP admin is *actually reading* your emails for spying, fun or something?

By the way, its how interwebs work, its how gmail works .. stop whining or stop using gmail.
