This one (the one I am selling) is pretty high powered, too, it's just that my new one is better.

Why buy a lower-end PC if it's just a few grand extra for something that'll last a year instead of six months? The PC I'm selling here will last you quite some time, with the specs it has.

I'll potentially sell the new one, too, if I decide to get a FX-62 (I don't like to upgrade, I just buy a new one), but wouldn't take less than $6,300 ($1,000 less than what I paid for the Alienware).

You have absolutely no idea. The thing is about 2 years old and is a 3.2 P4 w/17" widescreen. It was meant as a desktop replacement but i'm done with desktop replacements and will stick to cheap laptops since i go through them fairly quickly!

Indeed it is, the only thing which might suck a little for gaming is the fact it is a Dual Core CPU instead of single so unless the game supports SMP then it'll only be hitting a single processor BUT you'll be able to run shit in the background without messing the game up.

I'm using the Mac right now until the FX-60 system gets here. I like it, still.

Yes, it was designed for gaming and work -- I wanted it to handle both.

I was thinking of getting a mac for the next laptop now that they run a FreeBSD variation for their OS

I have a lot of laptops, but don't really use any of them. If I am just around the house, I tend to walk around and web-browse on a PSP or my tablet. Much more portable.

Thanks! In my opinion, it's worth the price. I've had two fragboxes that I bought from their original owners, and I paid them close to the original price -- most buyers in the market for a PC by Falcon Northwest or lesser companies like Alienware understand the value-add they provide.
