Attn. John Waters fans, one of my really crazy mixes (audio link)

Still sorting through and uploading some of the various mixes I have made. This one features clips of Edith Massey, a regular in early John Waters films (she's forever known as "The Egg Lady"). If you're familiar with his movies you are about to hear a number of familar lines

As anything fitting a tribute to John Waters it's an exercise in poor taste

    Enjoy!

I'm pretty sure I saw John Waters this past weekend on Cape Cod.

        Spend you some brain.

Sorry, lol. I've got my desktop set back up and when I dig out my mixing program I'll try to do something a little heavier for the rock fans

I would have never been able to pass without knowing for sure
That man has made me laugh so many times over the years. I love it when he is on with Bill Maher.

lol..that is funny because I was half way through typing my response when I saw this reply from you.

I am dredding the remake of Hairspray. Tiny bit of triva..the scenes in Hairspray at the amusement park were filmed at Dorney Park in the Allentown, PA area which is very near where I grew up. When they had a call for extras I wanted to go but my parents wouldn't let me.

John Waters always uses fat people in his films but in a way that I like rather than as insulting even though they are outrageous.

Yeah I have a feeling Hairspray the 2nd version (I shudder to call it a "remake") is going to be a big blockbuster that will appeal to few of the show's original fans. Kinda like what they did to The Dukes of Hazard.

After Hairspray became big did your parents wish they had let you go?

I just got JWs last film A Dirty Shame on DVD from amazon.com. I haven't seen it yet. It didn't play in a theater close enough around here to go see it on the big screen.

I've seen A Dirty Shame but it was an ex-rental copy my friends brought from Blockbuster when they were in the States. They didn't know that Blockbuster censors films because they don't do it over in the UK. The film was so heavily censored it became a joke. For example, at one point somebody writes 'boner' on the wall and they edited it to it just says 'bone'.

Hard to have a movie about sexual depravity when you can't talk about sex.

Yeah, I realized the film was available here in both R & NC17 versions, I definitely tracked down the latter. It's widescreen and has director commentary. His commentaries are the best

I would like to see it again without the censorship.
