Dean, while I am an industry outsider, I am trying to understand in my research for my documentary, do you feel that it is more important to be unique and make less money or to copy a style that obviously is quality and makes money? While I agree that too many copycats dilutes the overall value of the given style if everyone is doing it but if one can do it and make money, why shouldn't they since it will be copied anyways? In times where sales could be considered a premium, it would make sense for those to attempt to emulate their success.
I would venture to guess that sites like Bang Boat emulated Bang Bus to some degree and probably made some good money off of it.
