Misinformation in the US is an epidemic that has got to be the reason that Bush has been in office for two terms and the country is in the state that it is now. It's pretty sad when you think about it actually. Has anybody seen that movie Idiocracy? That movie is kind of funny, but it also has a sad truth to it. But to answer your question, no, I have never been told by any professors in any research classes, or any text that I have ever read in research classes, or even by professional researchers that I know, that Google should not be utilized as a tool for research. Although they all kind of turn their noses up at google, lol. It's how you use Google and the Internet to find out facts. Learning just even the basics about research methods/sources, etc, and a little about statistics, you'll be surprised at how your perception of what you read and see on tv changes.
I agree.. and trust me, i know how to research properly... I wouldnt call myself clicking couple of links "research" tho... I thought couple of quotes from doctors would be enough to illustrate my point that this drug isnt a sure bet, especially long term... but if those were only marginal opinions or deceitful websites... than its good news for you
