As much as Franck can drive me nuts, I think he has a point here. The guy was out and defenseless - what exactly was the point in stomping on his head a couple times?
Obviously people have a right to defend themselves with any force necessary, but I'd hope we can all agree that your right to defense ends when you are no longer in danger. Any piling on after that point makes you the aggressor. Plain and simple.

Have you ever been in a street fight where you've been sucker punched beforehand? I have been in several and when I'm (just like with EVERYONE else I know) in a fight like that I'm gonna whip some ass or do my best to whip some ass... you can't just turn it off man.
Sure there are other times I've been in fights where you're able to know you've done enough and walk away or stop, but there are also times when instinctual revenge/rage plays a huge role in the loss of 'control'
It all depends on how it starts
