And in 1997 they said that about Titanic over Star Wars and ET. In 1975 Jaws beat Gone with the Wind. So that was "unfair". And if the Dark Knight does beat Titanic in 20 years some movie will pass it and you'll be saying the same thing about that movie. The record is the record. The fact that prices have been going up for the last 11 years and the Dark Knight would be the ONLY one to do it says a lot. Even adjusted for inflation the Dark Knight is 94th all time and climbing.
