As much as Franck can drive me nuts, I think he has a point here. The guy was out and defenseless - what exactly was the point in stomping on his head a couple times?
Obviously people have a right to defend themselves with any force necessary, but I'd hope we can all agree that your right to defense ends when you are no longer in danger. Any piling on after that point makes you the aggressor. Plain and simple.

I do agree on the part that I made bold. However, only that guy knows if he felt out of danger yet, for all we know, he had no idea that he knocked him out. Couple that with adrenaline and human emotions, that's what you get... a harsh reaction to a hash action.
I have personally seen a dude get knocked out in a fight at a bar... he was doing the snore and twitching even, he got back up and worked the other guy up some more til the cops showed up. so, yes it can happen.
