Another lame move by the Dodger front office if you ask me. The guy is past his prime, hasn't played more than 130+ games in 3 years. The move would be great if they could make it to the world series but I dont think they can, they have too many other holes to plug.

While I agree on the picking up old players, they arent paying Manny anything so they definitely arent over paying him. Plus its not like his skills are greatly deminishing like the others you mentioned. He is the best bat the dodgers have had in a while and was greatly needed. There was a log jam at 3B anyways.Comment

Yeah I hear ya but what's the point..he's gonna be a free agent at the end of this season and the Dodgers wont likely resign him. I know what you are saying. I guess being a Dodger fan all we ever hear about it our prospects and how good our farm system is. I am glad they finally traded one of those "great" prospects (he hasnt done shit in the pros when given the chance) for a proven bat. Do I think it makes us world series winners, No, but it gives us a better chance to get in the playoffs and in the NL anything can happen look at the Rockies last year.Comment
