I was thinking about this the other day comparing my generation and that of my college age children. We started talking about what they have that we didn't have and surprisingly we really came up with a lot fewer advancements than we thought there would be.
Lots of improvements on existing things technology wise but as far as "NEW" the list was surprisingly limited. As I see it the advancements in technology have backfired in many ways as it pertains to the condition our kids are in today, both physically and mentally vs. 20 years ago.
What do you think have been our major advancements in the past 20 years?
Good thread topic

Well in 1988 I was working on an IBM compatible probably 16bit color monitor if I was lucky. Using a vhs video camera on a tripod and an easel setup with photos on it to do video photo albums. Id then plug the cameras video output to a vcr, and a cdplayers audio out to the vcr and make video photo albums for people. lol And when I did the editing on our school videos back then I used 3 vcrs and a jog shuttle setup with a control panel to edit and add effects etc. In 1988 Cell phones were only used in cars, and they took about 3 hours to install them and cost about 1500 to 2000.00 lol Lots of changes.
