My brother made it out of Iraq alive, thank God, but many of his men did not. Those that I have met from his troop were so disillusioned. They thought they could go there and help people while a better government system was built. Good guys with big hearts and dashed hopes lost many friends. True, in the beginning their were soldiers on tape abusing and torturing prisoners. True, some soldiers have thrown their morality, if they had any, to the wayside. There are dirty cops, dirty priests and obviously some dirty soldiers. I think there is a small percentage of scumbags in just about every profession. IMO you can't let the bad apples spoil the whole bunch, or some shit like that. Not agreeing with anything that is going on over there, just hoping good men don't come back and get treated the way the soldiers did that came back from Vietnam.Julie Larson

All of these Marines are there fighting in a war they really didn't want to be a part of, and got caught up in a bad situation. The lied to cover their asses. In a matter of seconds they went from being honrorable Marines to have the blood of a dead platoon mate on their bodies, got caught up in a bad situation, and they are just trying to keep their ass out of the brig.
This isn't downtown Miami, where the police knock on your door to execute a search warrent. This is a combat zone, Marines trained to kill, and one of their buddies had just fallen.Herschel Savage
