Lovely, you wrote an email spider so you can collect emails to annoy people...

It would be such a shame if you hit one of my sites, they tend to have little scripts on them that spew out thousands of almost-valid-looking email addresses for spam-bots like yours.

Heh, a while ago I was going to write a five line perl script that spewed out 'email' addresses by the million, make a cd of them and sell them to foolish spammers... As long as I don't say anywhere they will actually be deliverable email addresses... And anyone buying it would have their info forwarded to all the anti-spam groups too.

Spam is bad, just remember that.

Everybody is doing spam. And you guys should know that SPAM is legal if you know the rules. Some people enjoy advertisement mails and it is the most cost effective way to market your products.

SPAM[tm] is a registered trademark of Hormel Corporation, and is indeed legal. And can indeed be quite tasty.

Spam, the junk fucks like you inflict on the 'net, is if dubious legality (Europe looks like it's going to enforce manadatory opt-in, and can't happen soon enough), pisses off vast numbers of people, is theft by conversion (ie, I have to pay to receive your shit) and against the AUP of most hosting companies with a clue (Except those terminally and increasingly black-holed providers like Verio, Broadwing and so on).

Do you write programs to generate 'valid' credit card number too? That can be done legally if you know how. How about software that attempts to brute force the password of pay-sites, after all, you wouldn't be the one doing it, only supplying the software.

Kindly fuck off and die, now, don't wait.

I just changed all the fucking info for my domain's to my real e-mail and Phone # too
It's bad enough that I'm at the fucking school talking with my kids teacher's when this bitch calls trying to sell me the net and org to some of my names I mean FUCKKKKKKKK if I wanted them I would have got them when I was there!!!

Hosts cutoff anyone who is complained about because it is easier to do rather than actually investigate the legality of the specific email.

Who said anything about dialers? We are talking about unsolicited email.

And in case you are new in the business, ALL dialers warn the user what is happening. If they don't read the agreement, that's not our problem. 99.999% of us don't go and spam for our dialers. If a user finds our dialers, they are already on our site. We're not invading their email box with crap they really don't want. Any dialer money I get is because of the user clicking a link to my dialer.

So you complain about spam yet you think dialers are ethical? Dialers do not invade their privacy, true, but it sure is taking advantage of the endusers that are not smart enough to know that it is crazy to try a dialer. But I guess there are plenty of stupid people out there.

Unsolicited email is not spam if 1) you could have an interest in the email's topic (kinda covers the porn emails huh?) and 2) there is a working method to remove your name from their mailing list.

Not trying to incite a riot, just stating a view point to get people thinking.

Btw, I do not send out mass emails.

What do dialers have to do with this? Absloutely nothing. We are talking about SPAM.

UCE (spam) is any email that tries to sell you something that you are not interested in. While it's true that I do like porn, I DO NOT like someone sending me ads about their fucking porn site. And 99% of the time, there is NOT a working remove system in place. If anything the remove systems act more like a "valid address verification" system. Anyway, unless you have an opt IN/out email system, you are a spammer.

Not exactly, beyond the need for a removal mechanism (which are usually just ways to confirm that the spammers have reached a valid email address), the bill would require the names and addresses of the spammers to be placed in the email. That's not the case today.

Once those addresses are in there, we can send the thugcash guys to deal with it.
