Until we're able to find a cost effective way of desalinization, we're going to have a huge water crisis.
I have done a bit of reading on this and have heard both ways, we are short and we aren't. This year the tables increased, so that tells me the weather cycles has something to do with.

Add that, with the fact that you can just make water from air, even here in the desert. I know we don't need salt water plants and all that. Add in rain trapping and I'm set for years.

Vegas, may also be able to help. They are building salt water plants in Mexico already and plan on pumping into Vegas and selling it off for more $ of course.

Vancouver is making a water plant on the ocean to pull in vapor so they don't have to remove the salt.

Anyway, I just don't buy into the water hype. In some areas, of course it's going to get bad. But we have a huge range of solutions.
