I am so glad cell phones always exsisted

Honestly I only use my cell when I am traveling, yes I know I must be sick. So the majority of the time it is not even charged. Though I do have a cell in my van that is always charged yet well thats in my van.
Ya ok I accept it I am wierd. I do have a few shakeable flashlights and a couple handcrank flashlight radio combo's. Then again I still have some oil lamps and plenty of candles too.
Only reason I brought this up was I was on vacation in a small town north of here. It had zero cell reception at all with my carrier at least. So naturally my phone died super quick as it wasted its battery trying to find a signal. The small hotel (yes very small 6 cabins) did have clocks in the room yet somehow it got unplugged. I tried calling to get the time and well heartbreak.
