Essentially what you will see is a nuclear arms race right in the middle of the most politically unstable region on Earth.
The US will not be within range of Iranian missiles but the Middle East, Russia, Central Asia and Europe will be. This is much more a regional problem then a US problem. If the world is lucky the Israelis will bite the bullet and attack Iran's nuclear sites before Iran has its weapons program fully operational. Otherwise you should hold on for a real bumpy ride as the whole Middle East goes nuclear.

you are one of the people that i respect most on this forum because you are intelligent, but i really do disagree with you here. all the problems started when the state of israel was formed, now do not take that as me saying they do not have a right to exist - of course they do but they started the nuclear arms race and they are the ones that are constantly destabalizing the region. if there is any substantial proof that Iran are building nukes, which at the moment, there isnt, we should put more heavy sanctions on them but war would be a disaster because syria, hamas, hezbollah as well as Iran would be sending rockets down on tel aviv and it could just very well be the end of israel and that is what they have to avoid.
