I can't believe that you asked that question as I just logged on to ask the same thing. Bought a great expired domain yesterday and thought about that in the middle of the night.

Well mine was one I wanted a couple of years ago and it was taken. I wanted it for an mainstream site idea that I'd forgotten about until yesterday. Checked and viola! There it was available.

Then I got to thinking, 'This is too good to be true, what's the catch?' Guess none.
