If you want to be an owner, school can hurt you (but not always.) If you plan on being an employee, you have to have one.
That said, don't be an idiot and crank up debt on classes you don't need. Do your 4 years and not one semester extra. Also don't spend $50k on a degree that will earn you $30k. Unfortunately most people don't bother to take the 15 minutes to figure this out..
