Need to Test a New Webhost

I have some AutoBlogger Pro sites set up on a webhost that might be "blackholed" or "banned" in some way, or possibly just misconfigured. They aren't getting NEARLY the traffic that a "normal" ABP installation would generate.

I haven't seen a properly-configured ABP site that hasn't gotten at least a few hundred per day within a week, and many ABP sites are doing hundreds or thousands per day after a month or two.

Something is VERY wrong -- and it isn't the sites themselves.

I'd like to set up a small dedicated server on a "different" host for testing, and see how it goes. If it turns out to be a problem with the server, I'll move all of my ABP sites to the new host.

I'll need something like this for testing:

    Pentium 2.8
    1GB RAM
    80GB HDD

I will need servers like this for "production":

    Dual Xeon 3.0 HT
    2GB+ RAM
    140+GB SCSI Drive
    10Mbps per server

As a separate project, I am dismantling a clustered environment with a web host that isn't working out for me anymore. There are 12 servers that roughly conform to the second config (but are single HT Xeons, not dual, and have 1GB of RAM). If I migrated this cluster, I would need a quote for 100Mbps minimum commit, with break points from 100Mbps to 1Gbps.

Please quote the single servers in the thread, and post if you can do a quote on a cluster -- I'll want to speak further about specifics. Don't ICQ me, I'll ICQ you.

Multiple class C's are a BIG plus.

We could set you up on a test server:

          3Ghz DELL PowerEdge
          1GB RAM
73GB SCSI -- as a test to start for 2 weeks free

We have a lot of experience in clustered environments and can heavily optimize your configs to reduce the total # of servers in the cluster, as well as the administration needed to manage all of them.

Our standard fee for a dedicated managed server is:

$299/mo. but if you purchase more servers/bandwidth we can work on that.

          ICQ me if interested.

                      I'm there now. Webair rocks!

It doesn't seem to be working 100%, that's why I want a "fresh" server to try something new, and see if it's how I have the server configured, or how I have the software configured.

YARGH! I can put in a good word for split. Been hosting with 'em since 99ish. Excellent server, rarely any problems, and when it does run aground they be fixed immediately.

                              Hey,

Reflected can do what you need.

Pricing for the "test server" would run $199/mo for the server and 3mbit included. However, I have no problem giving you a free 30 day trial.

Production dual xeons (2.8's vs. 3.0's) would run $449/mo w/ SCSI including the 10Mbit.

We can quote out the cluster as well, diverse allocations from differing /24's (Class C's) are no problem.

If interested, e-mail phil at reflected dot net. ICQ is 25285313, but I won't be around until tomorrow AM.

I hope you find what you're looking for, even if it's not us

                              -Phil
