Not that it matters much, but here's my thoughts:

If someone wants to get off, they can masturbate to freely available pictures of photoshopped Paris Hilton not wearing underwear, let alone a 15 second clip that shows a little penetration. I think the only people joining paysites are those who want a better and more consistent experience. It's that simple. The whole thought of some dude surfing with his credit card in hand is old, dead, and a poor way to think about your customer.

A surfer sees a girl he likes. He whacks one off. He goes to a forum like peachy18.com to find another 100 free galleries of the same girl. He whacks off to that girl until ge gets bored, then he finds another and goes through the same process. He never ever has to pay a cent.

A surfer gets bombarded by porn/ pills/ etc spam. He gets the idea that porn pushers are shady. He will not buy porn because he is scared what will happen with his credit card and email address or because of the general principle of giving money to someone who he percieves he will despise.

A surfer finds a girl he likes and is willing to pay to join the site to see more of her, but when he clicks through to the site he can find no trace of this girl. He thinks 'maybe they are using this girl to promote this site but she is not featured within it'. Surfer puts away credit card. Surfer goes to peachy18.com to find some free sets, which he has come to learn pretty much make up together what he would find of the girl inside a site anyway.

I think webmasters are their own worst enemies. There is a way to clean things up of course, but it requires honesty, integrity, taking the long view and some balls. So, it won't happen.
