Let's compare the costs of basic living where you live, I'll start..

I'll put down the categories first so you can just quote or copy them and fill in between the lines, I'll be listing the prices in dollars and compare to what I know stuff costs in the States. Here are the categories I've came up with:

    1) A solid rent - talking three rooms and a better location

    2) Real estate - a small appartment (two rooms ) and a house or a bigger condo

    3) gas

    4) Shoes, clothing and accessories

    5) Electronics and PC stuff

    6) Groceries

    7) A solid internet connection ( say 2 mb no limit)

    8) a cell phone bill if you use a cell for business (say 300 free minutes)

    9) A dinner in a better restaurant and a low end restaurant

    10) A beer on tap in average is about 2 bucks

    11) a cab ride (say 5 miles)

    12) whatever pisses you off

    -----------

Prague is ranked to be the 8th most expensive city in the world compared to income.

    1) A solid rent can be from 1 300 to 2 000 USD / month (talking three rooms and a better location)

    2) Real estate is crazily expensive, a small appartment (two rooms )costs easily 150 - 200k USD.
If you want a real real estate like a condo or a small house it will be easily like 350 k+ .

    3) Count the gas beeing about 9 bucks / gallon,

    4) Shoes, accessories and clothing in average 30 - 50 pct. more expensive than in the States.

    5) Electronics and PC stuff is about twice as expensive as in the States.

    6) Groceries about the same, but steadily growing.

    7) A solid internet connection (2 mb no limit) 80 - 120 bucks / month

    8) a cell phone bill about a 100 bucks a month

    9) A dinner in a better restaurant is about 20 - 30 bucks
You can get it for 8 - 10 bucks in local pubs but it usually won't be exactly a gourmet experience.

    10) A beer on tap in average is about 2 bucks (about 4 in the center)

    11) A 5 miles in a cab is about 16 bucks

    12) If you'll live in the center they will be likely to charge you about 900 USD / year just so you can park your car in front of the house if you don't have a garage.

    Just curious..

My one bedroom costs me $2k a month to rent in Waikiki. To buy it would be around $600k. To buy a decent house would be at least $1 million.

My internet (with cable T.V.) is about $120 a month.

My cell phone bill is around $130 a month.

Dinner in Waikiki? At least $25 a plate at an average place.

Beer? I'd LOVE to pay $2. The places I usually go to cost $6.50.

Cab rides are about the same.

Parking is free in most residential buildings in Waikiki, although downtown gets a couple hundred bucks a month for parking.

I was in Prague last year and it didn't seem all that expensive to me compared to Hawaii, and there was choke hot girls, so don't complain too much.

We live in Cancun, and this is the most expensive City in Mexico next to Mexico City, and Los Cabos

With the cost of fuel, and the cost of food we save over living in the states.

This is way too subjective, what is considered "good" to one person maybe shit to another... like real estate, you can get reasonable condo for probably 100k in some chicago suburbs, nice place in downtown chicago overlooking the lake is easily 1M+, beer same thing, you could find beer for a $1 at some local dives, in high end places it could easily be $10+/beer... restaurant you can have a low end meal for $5/person, nice restaurant could easily be $100+/person... etc...

I live in Bulgaria, I believe in the 4th larger city, the beach os like 5 minutes driving from me

the most boring life is in the most developed countries, the most exciting life is in the 3rd World countries, and Bulgaria has the worst of both Worlds - a shithole with European laws

Las Vegas is pretty average for the US I think. Maybe a little higher, but no where near as high as SoCal.

i pay 850 rent for my 2bdr condo.

Yeah I guess I should have put in the health insurance, that's like 80 USD / month here, covers everything, you just pay like 2 - 6 USD fee while visiting the doctor.

If you have a real car you also pay like 500 USD / year basic insurance.
