I use Visual Hub. It will basically convert any format into any format. I love it.

Dare I say the obvious and mention Flash Video Encoder that is part of Adobe's CS3 suite of software, although it will cost you the price of a new PC or a good night out...
Worth considering if your into creating any sort Flash based web apps.
There must be an Open Source program to do this though.

That is way too complex for me.

what I forgot to mention, and since I am not a pro. I will need it to Process embedded FLV or linked FLV.
www.flash-video-mx.com offer exactly what i need. It works great on Windows, but I need the same thing for a MAC.
                      Thanks for the help.

I need a program that at the end will give me embedded FLV or linked FLV. Visual HUB will not do it.

Starting with a compressed format like WMV isn't going to give you a great end result to begin with. If you want to have any hope of coming out with a decent looking Flash file you will want to use one of the apps that have the ON2 VP6 codec available like Adobe Flash Encoder, Flix Pro from ON2 or Sorenson Squeeze.
